I rarely post here anymore, just about. Pretty much anything is on Twitter now. So, yah. Since rarely do I ever actually want to spend time writing an actual blog entry. And I need to start making mirell.org a technical blog. Yah, should do that... |

| Faster than the Interstate. |
[Dec. 31st, 2007|05:34 pm] |
On my trip home from Little Rock, during the part that I-35E merges with I-35, I faced horrible traffic. And with the help of my dad with MapPoint, I was able to find a way past the horrendous traffic. That of course meant dirt country roads, with paving when it felt like it. It was awesome.

| Sus |

Lots of sushi! Loads of sushi! And sushi! Intense amounts of sushi!
I still miss the sushi buffet places. Sure, the sushi was, "Eh, okay" compared to some places, but $10 for all-you-can eat sushi. The price more than compensates. |

| Eisner |

I hadn't realized it until now, but the entire reason we have Dreamworks and Dreamworks Animation is because of Michael Eisner being an ass, forcing Katzenberg to resign and form his own studio with Spielberg. That's about the only thing we can thank the man for. That and Family Guy portrayals. |

| George Takei in "Heroes" |
[May. 22nd, 2007|01:05 am] |
After catching up on "Heroes" this weekend, that is, actually watching the entire first season, this still cracks me up so much. Since they got George Takei to be Hiro's father:

EDIT: 02:17 * Kazriko guesses NCC-2000 would be too geeky for most people. ;) |

| Not Yet Asleep |
[Feb. 20th, 2007|01:02 pm] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | tired | ] | There exists a point in the waking stage where you can no longer actually accomplish anything particularly useful. Sure, you may have interesting ideas for various projects, or humorous commentary, but you don't actually *do* anything. You can read various blogs, but if for instance, the review of a new application requires more than downloading and double-clicking or some variety, you soon lose interest. "Copy SMBL.plugin to ~/Library/Application Frameworks/SMBL" *poof* Out of it. Now one can continue to stay awake past this completely useless state, and re-enter into a productive, albeit warped, phase. However, in my experience, this takes several hours, and one could instead just get a good nap in the interim, and wake up refreshed and ready to tackle something else. However, classes manage to get in the way of this sometimes. Thank goodness one can sleep during class. |
